Neighbourhood: the Beaches. Quiet Avenue just steps off Queen St. East and only one block away from Lake Ontario!
Only 3 min walk down the street and you are on the boardwalk! This is THE place to live if you like to walk, like sports and/or live with dogs (off-leash park by the lake just down the street). Down by the lake you’ve got 4 kilometers of wonderful sandy beaches, boat club, tennis club, hockey rink, lawn bowling, Woodbine Beach with Olympic swim stadium - and all that, just 10km away from downtown Toronto!
We never enjoyed our living more than here in this lively neighbourhood, just steps away from vibrant Queen Street: streetcar-stop (24/7) is just 30m away next to a supermarket (valumart). You’ve got a wonderful repertory movie theatre (Fox) - not to forget an enormous variety of restaurants, cafés and all sorts of little shops all along Queen Street!
All kinds of schools/kindergartens are within walking distance - or just hop on the Queen-501 street car that stops on every second crossing street.
